When I'm with my papá, I can fly like an eagle, an águila.

And I am the ganador, the winner, of many races.

and I give him the biggest abrazos, hugs.

Reviews
"Makes an ordinary day seem extraordinary. Their special bond will resonate with children and parents, wherever they live and whatever their
language." —School Library Journal
"From the time they wake up in the morning, a Latino boy ad his father have fun. Exuberant unframed double-page pictures celebrate the
loving connection between parent and child." —Booklist
"The text, mostly written in English, flows effortlessly. Gutierrez’ art, meanwhile, spectacularly spotlights the close relationship between
father and son." —Washington Post
"Dynamic, energetic, larger than life." —Kirkus
Story behind the story
First as a son, now as a father, I have seen and walked on both sides of the street. I was lucky to have a great father, and a great son.
This story is based on feelings from both those relationships, and some of the experiences as well. When my son was little, we called
him Agua Man. May you enjoy splashing along in your own relationships.
